Education
I hold a Cambridge CELTA Certificate.
Experience
I taught English as a second language in Italy for 20 years, so I understand the unique challenges that language learners face. I have also helped students of all ages prepare for Cambridge exams and final school exams, so I'm no stranger to standardized test prep. I developed interpersonal communication skills as a tour guide covering Verona, Venice, Lake Garda, and all of the vineyards and wineries in the Valpolicella and Soave areas. Teaching English in Italy was one of the most enjoyable experiences of my life, and I'm excited to do the same thing teaching Italian in Australia. I lived in Italy long enough to speak the language fluently, so I can model what it's supposed to sound like. I can also focus on your specific needs, including conversational Italian if you're planning a trip and AP Italian Language and Culture prep if your student is taking it in school.
